Looks like the folks over at Android Police have gotten their hands on the Netflix APK. How did they get it? Who knows, they are the police. Though we haven’t had a chance to test it on our end, we hear that they streaming functionality isn’t working quite yet.
With the existence of the APK, we have to assume that the “real deal” is right around the corner.
Update: The official Netflix app for Android has now been released and is available for download on the Google Play Store. The app offers a similar experience to the iOS version, allowing users to stream TV shows and movies on their Android devices. The app requires Android 2.2 or higher, and it is not compatible with all Android devices. Netflix has also added new features such as improved browsing and search functionality, and the ability to resume playback from where you left off on other devices.
