What does a pure Google Experience mean? Google’s Android operating system comes in many different ways. HTC, Motorola, Samsung and LG all have a special skin that they install over the Android platform. Some people like the different functionality that it brings and some don’t. It is great to hear that Motorola and Google’s first official tablet will be without Motorola’s Motoblur skin. Intomobile contacted Moto for an official statement,
To clarify, Motorola XOOM is a Google Experience Device and the first tablet to incorporate Android 3.0 Honeycomb. As such, Motorola Mobility has worked closely with Google to develop and optimize the Honeycomb OS on XOOM, and has no plans to customize the software with MotoBlur.
There you have it. The Android 3.0 aka Honeycomb will not be touched by Motorola’s Motoblur. I know we all are looking forward to a Pure Google Experience. The Motorola Xoom is headed to Verizon pretty soon…
