[Video] Webtop Via HDMI Without a Dock Demo

Thanks to the diligent work of Fenny over at XDA the Motorola Atrix is now capable of running the webtop application via an hdmi cable. The webtop application was previously only available if you purchased the HD multimedia dock ($189.99) and the Laptop dock ($499). I was very curious to try out webtop. After reading reviews on places like Engadget and Slashgear, everyone seemed to have some reason why webtop was unusable. Either is was because it was sluggish or because it required at $45 a month tether plan. Well with the right hackery all that can change.

I do not know if it was because I was using a deodexed rom or if my opinion is unbiased because I did not have to purchase addition equipment. Anyways, webtop is awesome. It runs like a high end notebook. I did not test via wifi because obviously that would defeat the point. My 1.5Mbp Download and 300Kbps upload did just fine when watching YouTube and browsing the internet. Check out the video demo below
