Two years ago, Verizon and Motorola released the Original Droid.  It is still, to this day, a fan favorite for its industrial build quality and awesome keyboard.  The Droid 2 brought some nice changes for Verizon customers.

The faster processor and improved keyboard were well recieved by some.  The hype and excitement wasn’t nearly as great.  Mostly because the original Droid owners weren’t even ready for an upgrade.  Needless excitement for the Droid 3 feels like the first time.  TWSS

Check out the specs below.  This phone is no slouch.  The choice of an OMAP processor over the Nvidia Tegra 2 is questionable.  Mostly because Motorola used their hardware in the Xoom, Droid X2, and possibly the Droid Bionic.

Android 2.3 Gingerbread

1 GHz dual-core OMAP 4430 processor

512 MB of RAM

16 GB of internal storage

4-inch qHD screen

8 MP back-facing camera with LED flash

1.3 MP front-facing camera

1080p video recording

QWERTY keyboard

HDMI out

1540 mAh battery
