Mozilla’s Firefox on Honeycomb Could Be My Web Browsing Savior

One of my biggest complaints about Android 2.3 (honeycomb) is the lack of tablet specific applications. With that said, I am very excited to see Mozilla working on a Firefox version for Honeycomb tablets. If you haven’t had a chance to play with the Android version of Firefox, you are missing out on a solid browser. Load times are quick and page rendering and multitouch are pretty good. One draw back, is no flash. Personally, I see why Apple boycotts Adobe Flash, it’s a double-edged sword. Either you need it for video or when you don’t need it, there is a flash add that crashes your browser.
The Honeycomb version of Firefox maintains the same features; tabbed browsing, Themes and even that glorious “Awesome bar.” The Awesome bar has been my favorite feature. It allows you to enjoy your webpages full screen and access menu features by swiping left and right. Awesome, right?
Currently, there is no release date, but designer IanBarlow is hard at work. Could this be the best browser on Honeycomb? It has the potential to be.
