A leaked internal document to Droid-Life from Staples suggests the office supply chain will carry both the Motorola Xoom and the BlackBerry PlayBook. The Xoom and PlayBook will arrive in Staples retail stores at the end of March for employee training. Pricing information was not available, but both are expected to hit under the $600 mark
The Xoom is a direct competitor with the iPad and iPad 2. It has a dual-core processor and 10.1-inch, high-resolution display. Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) with several tablet optimized applications. The PlayBook is RIM’s entry into the tablet market. It runs QNX-powered BlackBerry Tablet OS. The PlayBook has a 7-inch display and will compete head-to-head with the Android-powered Samsung Galaxy Tab. It has also been whispered that the Playbook will be able to run Android applications. Now thats cool.
