Motorola Atrix Rooted Before Release

One of the hot topics concerning the release of the Motorola Atrix was the ability to have root access. Root access allows users to remove bloatware, more fully customize a device, use backup tools, and poke around in the internal system. Looks like this will be possible on release day. The Atrixwas rooted thanks to the well-known AT&T developer designgears along with Getaphixx. The Dev community already seems to be backing the biggest phone on AT&T since the iPhone. I must say, I am pretty surprised to see that the Android Community is so enthusiastic about the Atrix. AT&T seemed to have been an enemy of Android because of its failure to bring a solid Android phone to their customers.

  1. Now all it needs is a solid bootloader unlock and we’re golden.

    • I agree. I hope things move a little quick considering how many people will actually by this phone.
