HTC and Beats partnered up. So, why not Nokia and Monster? This could be a new trend of offering high end earbuds with mobile phones. After all, they have become a huge replacement for your average mp3 player. This year, at Nokia’s World focus, they announced the Purity and Purity HD headphones.
Both the Purity in-ears and Purity HD over-ears are intended to pair up with the Lumia Windows Phone line and gives them uncommon support for remote control and calls. The Purity HD headphones also bundle a second fully-capable remote for “other devices.”
Both headphones have a 20Hz to 20kHz frequency range with a 32-ohm impedance; Nokia claims deeper sound from Monster. The in-ear Purity models have standard-sized 9mm drivers, and the Purity HD through its larger size gets 40mm drivers.
Nokia wasn’t specific on ship dates or pricing for either set, although the Monster connection could see them appear in the US along with Nokia’s preferred areas. Both the Purity and Purity HD will be available in black, cyan (blue), fuschia (pink), and white.
