The excitement boils up in my gut as a sit and wait for my Logitech Revue to get the Honeycomb (3.1) update. Of course, we do have leaks out there and other exploits to get an early jump, but there is nothing like an official OTA.
An unknown retail tipster has leaked some photos of a Logitech Revue bundled with Honeycomb out of the box. It kind of makes me want to sell mine, and pay the difference for a device that already has Honeycomb on first power-up.
These are excited times in the tech world and GadgetU has all the news. Actually… One second…
I’ve just read that the boxes with the advertised 3.1 update are just there in preparation for the update. Doesn’t necessarily mean the update comes with the device.
Here is what Logitech had to say:
We’d like to clarify that these products do not include the next version of Google TV software. The boxes were prematurely updated with the stickers in anticipation of the next release of the Google TV software, which, once available, will be a free and automatic update pushed to all Logitech Revue boxes that are installed and connected to the Internet.
With that being said, if you DO receive and update anytime soon, please let us know.
Stay tuned for all your gadget needs.
