iPad 2 Does Not Have Dual Verizon/AT&T Radio

When I first heard that the new iPad would be sold by Verizon & AT&T my initial thoughts were high. I figured that I could walk into an Apple store and pick up an iPad that I could connect to Verizon or AT&T’s network. That’s not the case. When you purchase an iPad that has 3G capability you will have to pick at the time of purchase which carrier you prefer. You are not required to sign up with a data plan but you still have to choose. According to Apple, “the iPad model you purchase is specially configured to work with either AT&T or Verizon — not both.”

The crazy part is that if you opt for the Verizon iPad 2 WiFi + 3G,  you won’t be able to access cellular services outside of North America. Talk about disappointment. =/ My suggestion is to get the AT&T version. After all this is about making phone calls, this is able internet browsing and netflix. AT&T has faster data speeds
