The HTC Thunderbolt is listed in Best Buy’s weekly ad for $299.99 and with a nice little footnote about Skype Mobile. There has been reports that Verizon has reportedly removed Skype from the Thunderbolt. Some say that it could be the cause of the pushed back released date. No date is mentioned in the Best Buy ad but Skype Mobile is. This could actually be a misprint or maybe Best Buy didn’t get the memo. Problem is, the HTC Thunderbolt is exclusive to Best Buy. If anyone would know the details, it would, could, should be them.
The HTC Thunderbolt was announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this year. It will be the first device to take advantage of Verizon’s new LTE 4G network. It features a 32GB microSD card preinstalled, and 8GB Built in memory. You get an 8MP camera in the back and a 1.3 MP camera in the front for Skype video calling. Hot spot functionality that allows you to share your connection wirelessly to other devices is also available with the correct plan.
