Smartphone Lineup:
Venue Pro: As of right now, things for Dell are a little “Ok”, if anything, with the launch of the Dell Streak, Dell Streak 7, and Venue Pro. That’s a tleast until the Venue pro get its “Additional Features”
Wrigly: The Wrigley looks a little interesting with its Qwerty slider, WP7, its 4″ display, and 720p recording. Not quite out of the ordinary I would say.
Hancock: This is where things get interesting. There is a rumored Android Ice Cream, Dual-Core device launching around Aug-Sep. A 4″ qHD display (like the Atrix) and 1080p video recording. This is what I find interesting about the Ice Cream rumor. Dell has always been late on its updates, so if they confirm Ice Cream as an Aug-Sept launch, expect to see an rollout to HTC devices in June. That’s just my take.
Millennium: Another Android Ice Cream with a 4.3″ qHD display, 8mp camera, DLNA, and 1080p video recording. Its design kind of has an HTC EVO look, but that just a concept from the image above.
Tablet Lineup:
Gallo: The Gallo, I have to assume, will be a dual-core wrapped in some Honeycomb goodness. Look for this one around Q2
Rosemount: This device is a Windows 7 device. It has a 1366×760 HD display. Again, due to standard, I have to assume this is also a 10″ display device.
Opus One and SilverOak: This are pretty interesting being that hey both sport Honeycomb and are to launch around the same time. The Opus is to be a 5-7″ device, and the Silver Oak is to be somewhere between 7-9″.
Peju: Last but not least, we have the Peju. This is to be a 10″ display device with Windows 8. Not much is known about the upcoming tablets, but let’s hope Dell can step its game up and become a true competitor.
Well there you have it folks. This is Dell rumored lineup for the year. As far as the tablets go, I wouldn’t say its a mediocre lineup, but I don’t have much to be excited about.
The phones are an entirely different story. With a rumored launch of Ice Cream being on the horizon for an Aug-September launch, I have reason to believe that an early launch exists for other devices.
What do you all think?
