The Macbook Air 13.4 may seem like a slouch.  It’s sleek design and puny specs can turn off anyone looking for a daily computer.  This is a perfect example of why you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover.  While it may lack in powerhouse speed, it makes up for it with top notch built quality and battery life.  The display is gorgeous and the solid state drive provides unprecedented application load times.  We reviewed the 13.3″ model; which came with a 1.86Ghz dual core processor and 2Gb of RAM.  I found that this unit was more than adequate for HD video editing and photoshop.  It handled just about anything I threw at it, besides Portal 2.

For those who are in the market for a mobile graphic powerhouse may need to look at the macbook pro series for the specs needed to keep up.  Considering that the Macbook Air starts at $999, you can’t really complain.  The Macbook Air lineup are extremely usable laptops.  Don’t let the paper thin design detour you.  Check out the video review for a full overview
