Antec Brings the “Rockus” with 3Dsst Technology

It’s not very often that we do product spotlights here on Gadgetu.  Especially, if we haven’t had a hands on.  Antec has usually been my go to brand for computer parts like power supples and cases and I never pictured them making desktop sound systems.  I must say, these are some attractive speakers for those of you who are in to a minimal workspace and call yourself design fanatics.  These speakers will make you eyes drool. Antec has just announced their Soundscience Rockus sounds system.  It’s not meant to bring the house down, but it will provide clear mid and high range sound through an active subwoofer and 3D tuned drivers.  The featured 3Dsst technology brings simulated 3D sound from any audio input.

The 2.1 style setup will fit right in with your computer system.  If you want to use a gaming console there is an optical input in th eback for digital audio.  They are available now at amazon and newegg for $199.  We are currently waiting a review unit and will give you guys a more in depth look later.

Update:  Amazon currently has it on sale for $137.99.  Not sure how long it will last.
